GalleryCSS Reference Sheet by janvanlysebettens GalleryCSS Reference Sheet by janvanlysebettens
As you probably know subscribers and seniors can now add CSS to their gallery folders.

Gallery v2.1 New Features

Here is a reference sheet that might help those who aren't that familiar with html.. or those who couldn't be bothered to look up the names of all the classes.

Enjoy.

Now, we need a reference sheet for doing group gallery CSS!

Also, do you know what font is used in the h2 area if no font is specified in the CSS?

to disable the dropshadow in thumbnails in your journal:

span.shadow{
background-image:none !important;
}

body {
background-color:#80FF80 !important;
border:3px #00B800 solid !important;

div.folderview-top .description {
background-color:#80FF80 !important;
border:3px #00B800 solid !important;

For some reason, when I try having two element tags on the same sheet (i.e. body and div.folderview-top, like above), it gives me a forbidden error. Why is this?

What the fuck's CSS? And what is this sheet ment to tell me?

css stands for cascading style sheet; it's a way of adding layout to html pages without using the limited layout and design tags html provides. On dA, you can use it to spice up your journals (and gallery folders, which this one is about) by adding design and layout. Look around dA, most every subscriber (with a * in front of their username) and I think literally every senior member (who have ` in front of their username) uses css for their journals.

Hope this was helpful :)

I presume the page numbers at the bottom are part of div .folderview-art span - I'm having issues with readability of my page numbers because of it :(

Cool breakdown there. :D

Hmmm, but how do I change the colour of the title in folderview-top? The "color: #FFFF00 !important;" tag is apparently ignored here. ^^;

:iconpepineros:
pepineros Featured By Owner Sep 26, 2008  Student Writer
you should put the color:#FFFF00" line in h2, not in folderview-top. The code would look like this (if you only add color):

h2 {
color:#FFFF00;
}

make sure not to put a period (.) in front of h2 as you would do with a class selector. Hope this was useful :)
